Scuba Jack was founded by John Strutt in 2006. He is a member of the 'Institute for Learning' and an independent PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) scuba diving instructor, International Association of Handicapped Divers (IAHD) instructor, BSAC (British Sub-Aqua Club) instructor and first aid instructor trainer.
John believes that scuba diving can be used as a vehicle to inspire learning. Scuba Jack was formed because John believes that scuba diving can be used to offer a range of benefits to someone's lifestyle. That means it could be used to encourage learning, improve fitness and promote healthy living. Diving can be used to help others such as people that suffer from cerebral palsy to name one disability or be used to rehabilitate people that have suffered the loss of limb(s). Some examples can be found within the project pages. A new section is being developed to provide a reference for other scuba diving instructors.
John first had the opportunity to achieve his life-long ambition to scuba dive whilst on a holiday in the Caribbean in 2003. His passion for diving has enabled him to gain diving experience around the UK, Norway (Arctic Circle), Gibraltar, Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. If you wish to learn to scuba dive then with Scuba Jack you can be assured of a first class diving education.
