Open Water Diver (Diver Level 2 - ISO 24801-2 "Autonomous Diver")

Overview

This course is designed for the beginner. If you want to learn to dive then you are in the right place. Our world is covered by 70% water, 70% of the divers in world are trained by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)! This is the most popular and recognised dive course in the world. It is your ticket to a lifetime of adventure. Complete the Open water course and you will then be qualified to dive to a depth of 18 metres (depth rating dependent on age).

Objectives

The PADI Open Water Diver course is performance-based and divided into three segments: Confined water dives, knowledge development and four open water dives.

You must also complete a basic swimming test.

The open water courses takes four days to complete and this is very flexible so it can be scheduled around your timetable. Scubajack will guide you through each segment at a pace that suits you to ensure that you become a confident qualified diver.

Certification (Open Water Diver)

Upon successful completion of the course,you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver certification (minimum age 15 years),or PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification (minimum age 10 years).
Dive with a buddy (Junior Open Water must dive with a buddy of legal age) independent of supervision while applying the knowledge and skills you learn in this course, within the limits of your training and experience.
Obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other scuba services.
Plan, conduct and log open water no stop (no decompression) dives when properly equipped and when accompanied by a buddy in conditions (maximum depth - 18 metres for Open Water - 12 metres for Junior Open Water) with which you have had training and/or experience.
Continue your diver training with a specialty dive (Adventure Dive), in the PADI Adventures in Diving program or in PADI Specialty courses
